Rain-Gutter Regatta

BOY SCOUTS TROOP 344 & Young Men

Well Trey had his first cubscout pack meeting tonight and we had a great time. The boys have been working hard painting and sanding their boats to get them finished. They turned out great. The rain gutter regatta is where the boys paint boats and blow them down a rain gutter full of water. We have never done this before so it was a new experience for all of us. Trey did his boat in Parowan colors (blue, yellow, and white) with stickers of his favorite sports on the sail and the number 50 for his wrestling weight last year. He also cut out the word "RAMS" with my cricut machine and used it as a stencil to paint on his boat. The boys had a great time and even the parents got involved. I would like to give a big thanks to Texas(a friend and co-worker of mine) for coming to help me with my kiddos. I could not have done it without her. Being assistant cubmaster and with Jim gone there was no way I would have been much help chasing the little ones. So thank you Tiff -(A.K.A.Texas)!!!!! And thanks to all thoses who help make Scout Troop 344's first Rain Gutter Regatta such a great success. Trey had a great time and will be talking about it for days.

Looks like you had just as much fun blowing the boat as Trey did.
