A Day for Dad!

***Picture Overload***

Well let me just start off saying that Jim is not into wrestling.  He does not enjoy sitting at a meet all day long to watch the boys wrestle for maybe a few minutes (coming from a family of wrestling I on the other love it).  When I first told him I was going to sign the boys up for wrestling he said you are not, so since then he has come a long way and is a more supportive of them.  With the meets being on Saturdays it keeps our weekends tied up all season.  We had a break in wrestling last weekend and the kids and I decided it would be fun to surprise dad and plan a fun day for him.  We told him we were going  stay home and clean the house.  I secretly got lunches, camo-packs, and everything we needed loaded in the car then Trey and Easton ran a (cheesy) note in to Dad. It said:

We don't want to work. We are ready to play,
So grab a jacket.  Today is family day.

Moms got everything packed & we're ready to go.
We're hoping for good weather.  We don't want it to snow.

Wear some good shoes we may do some walking.
And its hard to hear a dead man talking.

So climb aboard and have on good socks.
Cuz' everyone knows the JENSE FAMILY ROCKS!

We started our day at Virgin.  It was fun for the kids to feed the animals carrots and get some good photos.

Then we headed into Zions and spent the day hiking and climbing.  We had a ball, but it was packed.  We avoided to people and did not go on any trial we just blazed our own.  The kids loved it.

It is so beautiful there!

Ridge & Aspyn keep looking in the holes trying to see if something was in there.

After lunch and some hiking around Zions were headed to Grafton, Utah.  Trey has been learning about ghost towns at schools and has been wanting to visit one for sometime.  The kids had a lot of fun reading and exploring the little town of Grafton.

All in all it was a fun day as a family and we just want to say thanks Dad for putting up with the long wrestling season and being a good sport.  We love you and appreciate all you do for us!!!!!!

Jim's next truck!

Well we went to Kanosh over the weekend and Jim found his next truck. He has been eyeing it for awhile and we had to stop and get a picture. At least it will fit our whole family:)

Jims Goat Hunt

Well Jim had another successful hunt this year. Him and a good friend of ours (Jay) drew out for mountain goat in Idaho. He was very exicited to be able to go and hunt there. We love Idaho and enjoyed riding our horses in the mountains near Palisades before we moved to Utah. Jay was able to get a nice goat before Jim went up for his hunt so Jim and a close friend from Utah (Doug) went up together and were expecting a great time, but mother nature had other plans. They got dumped on. It ended up snowing about 8- 10 inches several days while they were there and needless to say the hunt ended up taking longer than expected. But towards the end, the weather finally lightened up and they were able to hit it hard again. Here is the end result.

Jim is very happy with the haired up coat and of course is already planning a full body mount. Great job Jim on another successful hunt.

Husband Tag!!!!

Well I got tagged by one of my roomies from Snow College. I miss you guys. We had some great times. Thanks Mindi! (by the way Mindi-I don't think my grandpa ever stopped laughing about you and the Indians)

All About my Husband!!

1. Where did you meet your husband? We were set up on a blind date by my cousin Ginger and I've hated her every since (J/K). Ginger's husband Shaun and Jim are good friends. So Ginger set us up. I made the trip to Utah, but once I got there I became really sick. I went to the hospital and they wanted to admit me. I told them there was no way I could be admitted I had two little boys I had to take care of. The agreed to let me go home, but I had to go home with an IV. So here I was on this date feeling like crap and had an IV sticking out of my arm. But I figured if he liked me at my worst he would for sure like me at my best.
2. How long did you date? 7 mths
3. How long have you been married? Almost 4 Yrs
4. What does he do that surprises you? The best surprise he gave me was when we were married in the temple. It was on my birthday Jan 7th and he gave me a diamond watch that was engraved on the back for time and all eternity and the date. It was very sweet.
5. What is my favorite feature about him? His Eyes. I usted to lie on his lap and look up in his eyes and drift off to sleep. They make me feel safe and secure.
6. What is my favorite quality about him? He is the best dad ever.
7. What Nicknames does he have for me? nothing comes to mind.
8. What is his favorite food? Steak
9. What is his favorite sport? He is really not into sports, but since Trey has done so well at Wresting Jim has tried so hard to learn everything he can about it so he can help Trey. He has even meet with the coach to learn moves to help Trey at home. Like I said he is a great dad.
10. What are his favorite things to do? Anyone even semi close to him should know this Loves to HUNT!!!!! Camp, Hike, Pack, etc.
11. What are some of your favorite things to do as a couple? This is hard because we are kinda opposites on this. He would rather stay at home, and I'm more of a people person. But we love to ski, snowboard, & hike.
12. How many children do you have? 4
13. What are some your husbands hidden talents? He is a Mr Fit/Built it. He can fit or build almost anything and I love it.
14. How old is your husband? 35
15. Who said I love you first? He did. It scared me to death. I totally was not ready for that. I was shocked. I just sat there and didn't know what to say. He was waiting for me to say something. I told him "I have to be honest" "I like you, but I don't know if its because I really like you or if its because I am just lonely." I hope I didn't hurt his feelings but I wanted to be honest with him and at the time and with my situation I was not sure what I was feeling. As you can tell it all turned out ok.
16. What is his favorite music? mostly Old Country but he also listens to a little of everything.
17. What do you admire most about your husband? He is a great dad. He is always playing with the kids and getting involved in their activities. They love him dearly.
18. What is his favorite color? Camo????
19. Will he read this? If he gets home from hunting before it goes to the next page I am not sure he knows how to get to the older posts:)

Fathers Day Weekend

I really want my husband to know how much I appreciate him. It takes someone special to take on what he has. I know I am not always the easiest to get along with and can be very stubborn (I got that from Grandpa Kesler), but never the less I am very thankful to have Jim in my life. I could not ask for a better father to my kids and he means the world to them. The song that I always think of is the old country song "What a difference you've made in my life" by Ronnie Milsap. Jim you have a big difference in my life and I am greatful for all you do for me and the kids. We love and want to wish you a Happy Fathers Day!!!!!!

This weekend we went to Grandpa Jense's house and had a great time. It is always fun for the cousins to get together and it was good to see everyone. Amy (Jim's sister) made us all feel guitly as she got up early saturday morning and ran a 10K. Keep up the hard work Amy you are a great example to us. There are quite a bunch of us when we all get together and we really test Grandpa Jense's patience sometimes. Thanks for putting up with us Grandpa Jense we love you. We had a great time here are some pictures of our weekend.

I also just learned that Grandpa Clark (Nates dad in Montana) had to have a major surgery this weekend. We are happy to learn he is recovering from a triple bypass and expected to return home in the next couple days. The boys cried and cried when I told them even though they knew he was ok. They trully love him and I wish we lived closer so we could see them more. We love you Grandpa Clark and are praying for you and your family. Get well soon we miss you!!!!!!

Jims Bear Hunt

Jim drew a black bear tag this year for the Boulder mountain. He has been hunting really hard and was able to get one this weekend. Tha bear was about 310lbs, 6 ft long, and chocolate in color with a white patch on his chest. We would like to give a special thanks to Cliff Stubbs, his family, and his wonderful dogs for all their help. Without them it would not have been possible. Jim is having his good friend Doug Perry do a full body mount and we look forward to seeing it done. Good Job Jim!!!!!!!!!!

My Husband is the Best!

Well a couple of weeks ago I was gone for a girls only weekend with several of my really good friends from high school. My husband was home with all four kids. I really appreciate him supporting me in my interests and allowing me a well needed break. On the drive home I was telling my girlfriends I was dreading going home because I knew the house would be a disaster. Boy I couldn't have been more wrong. I could not believe my eyes when I walked in the house. Jim and the boys worked really hard to have the house cleaned up when I got home. I didn't say to much at the time. (I was in shock). But I really do appreciate Jim and all he does for me. Not only had he cleaned the house, but he had also started building shelves in our storage area. They look great! He did an awesome job and it is so nice to have such a handy man. I have been working really hard on my food storage and thanks to coupons I have gotten a great start. Thanks Jim for the great shelves!!!!!!
