Memorial Weekend

This weekend started off well. Our family went to Kanosh and Jim and the boys meet Travis and Colby up the canyon for the father and sons outing. We were planning on spending the rest of the weekend camping up Kanosh Canyon and attending Brads baby blessing in Meadow on Sunday. Sara and I planned on doing some canning while the boys were gone and we got a lot done. About 2:00 am Jim showed up at Sara's house with Trey who was having an asthma attack. We treated him throughout the night and all the next day. His asthma was getting worse and worse. We decided it was time to take him in so off we went to the ER.
They tried to start an IV, but no luck. They gave him several high dose treatments and a shot of steroids. The next day we went to Brads baby blessing and got to see our cousin Kyle (who just got home from a mission to Korea) talk as well. So it was great. After the blessing and dinner we headed up the canyon to get the rest of our stuff from the camper and visit some friends. Rich (Jims good friend) and his whole family were up there for a family reunion. It was so good to see them and I can't wait until they move closer. They have sold their house in Bluffdale and are planning on moving to Monroe. After visiting them we finally headed home and tried to recoupe. All in all it turned out to be a good weekend just not what we had planned. Flowers got put on the graves, Sara and I were able to can over 250 #10 cans, and (with the exception of Trey) the kids had a great time. We were disapointed in not being able to camp. So it looks like we will be going again soon.

Go Jazz!

Well Aspyn knows mom likes to watch the Jazz games and last night I turned the tv on and there was a basketball game on (not the Jazz). Aspyn sat down and started saying "Go Jazz" "Go Boozer". Well that game was almost over and by the time I grabbed the camera it had ended and the Jazz game was on, but here she is chearing for her team. To bad they lost. They have got to win the next two games in order to move on to the next round. But at least they have one cute little girl on their side cheering them on. "Go Jazz"!

Our New Toy

A friend gave Jim this cool baseball popup he made. We love it! It holds about 6 balls and then you step on a lever and it pops one up for you to hit. Trey asks to play with it the second he gets home from school. We have had a lot of fun with and want to thank Craig White for the great gift.

Jims Bear Hunt

Jim drew a black bear tag this year for the Boulder mountain. He has been hunting really hard and was able to get one this weekend. Tha bear was about 310lbs, 6 ft long, and chocolate in color with a white patch on his chest. We would like to give a special thanks to Cliff Stubbs, his family, and his wonderful dogs for all their help. Without them it would not have been possible. Jim is having his good friend Doug Perry do a full body mount and we look forward to seeing it done. Good Job Jim!!!!!!!!!!

To My Friends

Well here it is Mother's Day and I am feeling very thankful. Since my mother is not here to show my appreciation to I am letting my friends know how grateful I am to them and all that they have done for me in my life. I came acrossed this poem that I love. So this is dedicated to all my friends. You know who you are!

The Friend Who Just Stands By

When troubles come your soul to try,
You love the friend who just stands by.
Perhaps there's nothing she can do,
The thing is strictly up to you.

For there are troubles all your own,
And paths the soul must tread alone.
Times when love can't smooth the road,
Nor friendship lift the heavy load.

But just to feel you have a friend,
Who will stand by until the end.
Whose sympathy through all endures,
Whose warm handclasp is always yours.

It helps somehow to pull you through,
Although there's nothing she can do.
And so with fervent heart we cry,
God Bless the friend who just stands by.

Thank You for being that type of friend for me I would have never made it this far without you. I love and cherish your friendship more than you will ever know.

FRIENDS FOREVER

My Husband is the Best!

Well a couple of weeks ago I was gone for a girls only weekend with several of my really good friends from high school. My husband was home with all four kids. I really appreciate him supporting me in my interests and allowing me a well needed break. On the drive home I was telling my girlfriends I was dreading going home because I knew the house would be a disaster. Boy I couldn't have been more wrong. I could not believe my eyes when I walked in the house. Jim and the boys worked really hard to have the house cleaned up when I got home. I didn't say to much at the time. (I was in shock). But I really do appreciate Jim and all he does for me. Not only had he cleaned the house, but he had also started building shelves in our storage area. They look great! He did an awesome job and it is so nice to have such a handy man. I have been working really hard on my food storage and thanks to coupons I have gotten a great start. Thanks Jim for the great shelves!!!!!!
